We are seeking a highly skilled Process Director to lead our process engineering team.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing process engineering projects from conception to completion, ensuring that all aspects of design and construction meet safety and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Performing complex process calculations, such as heat and mass balance, utility sizing, and line sizing;
  • Preparing process equipment data sheets and conducting process engineering calculations, including thermal rating of heat exchangers and hydraulics;
  • Developing process flow diagrams and piping and instrument diagrams, and reviewing all aspects of design and construction for consistency and safety;
  • Liaising with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices;
Requirements

To be considered for this role, applicants must possess:

  • A degree in Chemical Engineering or related field, with at least 18 years of experience in process departments, preferably in pharmaceutical or biotechnology industries;
  • Strong knowledge of process simulation software, such as HYSYS and ASPEN;
  • Experience with layout designing of API, OSD, sterile, and biotechnology projects;
  • Sound knowledge of area classification and man-material flow concepts, as well as familiarity with ISPE guidelines;
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements of USFDA, MHRA, and WHO;
  • Equipment selection criteria knowledge, including fermentation, bioreactors, TFF, chromatography, and filling lines.
