Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Tandoor Commis I to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with traditional tandoor cooking, including breads, kebabs, and curries, while maintaining high standards of hygiene, taste, and presentation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook tandoor dishes, including kebabs, rotis, naans, kulchas, and Indian breads
  • Assist senior chefs in daily food preparation and service
  • Maintain quality, consistency, and portion control as per standards
  • Ensure cleanliness, hygiene, and safety in the kitchen
  • Monitor mise-en-place and ensure timely availability of ingredients
  • Follow recipes, SOPs, and food safety regulations, FSSAI compliance

Requirements:

  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience as Commis I/II in Tandoor section, hotel or restaurant
  • Knowledge of Indian cuisine, spices, and tandoor operations
  • Strong sense of taste, seasoning, and plating
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Team player with a positive attitude
  • Basic food hygiene knowledge, FSSAI certification preferred
