Urban Development Project Manager

Description:

This position requires an experienced project manager to oversee the implementation of large-scale urban development projects. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of centrally sponsored schemes, particularly in housing and urban development.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing project management activities including timelines, budgeting, fund utilization, beneficiary identification, and progress tracking. They will also develop annual action plans and coordinate city-level, district-level, and municipal teams for effective on-ground delivery.

The job requires strong leadership and coordination skills, with experience in working with government officials, private developers, financial institutions, consultants, and communities. Proficiency in Marathi and English (verbal and written) is essential.

The candidate should have a master's degree in Engineering, Management, Urban Planning, Public Policy, Computer Science, Finance, or related fields. Preference will be given to candidates with additional certifications in Project Management, Data Analytics, or MIS.

The minimum requirement is 9 years of experience in project/program management, including at least 4-5 years handling government, housing, infrastructure, or urban development projects.

The selected candidate will work closely with stakeholders, ensuring timely fund release from central/state resources and proper utilization through direct benefit transfer (DBT) and integrated MIS. They will also conduct regular team meetings, ensure the compilation, collation, and submission of robust project Management Information System (MIS) and analytics reports.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with IT systems, MIS, and team management. They should also have substantial exposure to public procurement, bid management, and document preparation as per government norms.
