Job Title: Digital Illustrator

About the Role

We are seeking a talented and skilled Digital Illustrator with experience in creating compelling illustrations and digital artwork.

  • This role involves developing original illustrations and digital artwork for products, packaging, and merchandise.
  • The ideal candidate will translate conceptual ideas into visual narratives that reflect brand values, emotions, and product essence.
  • Collaboration with the design team is essential to develop cohesive visual narratives.
  • The ability to adapt illustration styles for different mediums - print, web, packaging, and physical products - is crucial.
  • Maintaining consistency in visual tone while pushing creative boundaries with character design, patterns, typography-led compositions, and cultural motifs is key.
  • Staying current on art, design, and cultural trends and reflecting that awareness in work is vital.
  • Evaluating illustrations against quality and color standards is also important.
Key Skills & Expertise

A strong grasp of color theory, composition, form, and character design is essential.

  • Proficiency in digital illustration tools like Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Procreate, or similar software is required.
  • Versatility in working across different illustration styles (quirky, modern-ethnic, minimal, maximal, pop-culture-inspired, etc.) is advantageous.
  • Strong conceptual thinking with the ability to visually interpret emotions, themes, and narratives - while bringing your own distinctive artistic voice to guided creative direction - is critical.
  • Familiarity with art, culture, flora-fauna, and mythology is a plus.
  • Prior work in lifestyle, gifting, fashion, D2C brands, or packaging design is an advantage.
  • Strong time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines across multiple projects are essential.
