About the Job

We are seeking a skilled professional to conduct thorough credit audits of the Wholesale Banking segment and Small Medium Enterprises (SMEs). The successful candidate will be responsible for examining financial transactions, identifying potential risks, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

The credit audit review will cover both pre and post sanction, disbursement, and monitoring processes. You will lead or participate in all business credit audits and supervise a team of 2-4 auditors. Timely commencement and closure of audits, including documentation of working papers, are crucial aspects of this role.

You will also prepare and submit comprehensive audit reports within stipulated time frames and ensure timely submissions of RBI data, Tranche III, and any other regulatory requirements. Quality assurance is paramount, and you must emphasize policies, internal guidelines, processes, practices, and people to ensure correctness, consistency, and revenue assurance.

In addition to these responsibilities, you may be required to carry out other assignments such as reviewing processes, thematic audits, checklists, and special audits. Effective coordination with concurrent auditors is essential to ensure the quality of concurrent audit reports.

As a Credit Auditor, you will examine and provide comfort to Team Lead Audit on all developments in credit-related areas, ensuring regulatory and control requirements are met. You will devise audit checklists for internal/concurrent auditors and test processes/procedures to foresee pitfalls and bottlenecks.

Ultimately, your goal is to provide suggestions for improving existing processes/systems to line management.
