Key Account Manager Job Description

The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing key accounts, driving sales growth, and building strong relationships with regional category managers.

  • Sales Performance: Deliver sales plans across various channels, ensuring maximum market coverage.
  • Relationship Building: Foster strong partnerships with regional category teams to drive business growth.
  • In-Store Execution: Ensure optimal product availability, share of shelf, promotional activities, and asset execution.
  • Distributor Management: Oversee stock availability at distributors, achieving a 100% fill rate for major trade accounts.
  • Team Leadership: Manage and develop a team of sales professionals on third-party payroll.
  • Commercial Integrity: Monitor and settle distributor claims promptly, resolving any issues in a timely manner.
Requirements and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, the ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications:

  • Education: A graduate degree is mandatory; an MBA is highly desirable.
  • Experience: 2-4 years of experience in key accounts from the FMCG industry, with a proven track record of success.
  • Leadership Skills: Experience in managing a team of promoters and merchandisers.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong understanding of MS Excel and ability to interpret data insights.
  • Candidate Profile: Self-motivated individuals with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
