Lead Fashion Designer

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced fashion designer to lead our team. The ideal candidate will have 12-17 years of experience in fashion design, with a proven track record of creating commercially viable and fashionable products.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Conduct market research to stay up-to-date on industry trends and developments.
  • Benchmark competitors and participate in trade shows to understand consumer needs.
  • Collaborate with the product development team to create trend forecasts for the upcoming season.
  • Develop seasonal concepts that balance commercial viability, fashion sensibility, and consumer value proposition.
Tech Pack Creation and Team Development:
  • Monitor the creation of quality tech packs and ensure timely uploads on the PLM system.
  • Guide the team in preparing winning ideas to convert concepts into innovative and commercially viable products.
Sampling and Quality Control:
  • Lead quality sampling and guide the team on working with product mills to ensure sampling compliance with timelines.
  • Ensure seamless handover to sourcing and product teams in line with the business process calendar.
Self Development and Innovation:
  • Travel to markets and fairs to understand emerging trends and consumer insights.
  • Cultivate technical expertise and collaborate with colleagues to create innovative product lines.

  • Show adaptability, creativity, and a passion for staying up-to-date with industry developments.
