Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Engineer Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) engineer to join our database cloud engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining our OCI environment, including setup, configuration, and management of OCI resources, as well as the administration of our Oracle databases and coordinating OCI support.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Manage and maintain the OCI environment, including compute instances, storage, and network resources
  • Administer Oracle databases, including performance tuning, backup and recovery, data security, and database upgrades and patches
  • Implement and manage OCI Identity and Access Management (IAM), including users, groups, compartments, and policies
  • Monitor the OCI environment and databases for performance and availability, troubleshoot and resolve issues related to the OCI environment and databases
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams to ensure optimal performance and availability of applications and services
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • 10-14 years of Oracle apps database administration experience on large production environments
  • Experience working within an Agile framework and in a Finance Technology function, preferably with large Financial Services Organisation
  • Hands-on knowledge on OCI GEN II, Cloud at Customer, GEN I, or similar IaaS Admin experience
  • Expertise in managing and working with Oracle support consulting teams and thorough understanding of the process involved dealing with Oracle in the form of SRs
