We are seeking a highly skilled Visual Effects Artist to join our team at DNEG. This is an excellent opportunity to work on high-profile feature films and television shows, utilizing your expertise in crowd simulation techniques.
About the RoleAs a Visual Effects Artist, you will be responsible for producing complex crowd shots using various software tools such as Houdini and Maya. You will work closely with our Creature Supervisor and DFX Supervisors to develop a specific look, movement, and style that meets the creative goals and vision of the VFX Supervisor and Director.
You will successfully deliver simulations by gathering 3D assets from our Build, Layout, Creature (Rigging), and Animation departments, using off-the-shelf software and custom pipeline tools to create photorealistic crowd simulations.
Requirements- Good understanding of crowd simulation software such as Houdini, preferably Massive or related software programs
- Proven experience in producing crowd simulations with attention to detail, good timing, and thorough understanding of techniques and technologies relating to physical simulation in computer graphics
- Familiarity with pipeline issues and problem-solving
- Experience in balancing quality with time constraints
- Excellent artistic and technical skills
We offer a competitive salary range of $85,000 - $120,000 per year, depending on experience, as well as a comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
