Job Title: Lateral Flow Assay Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled professional with expertise in lateral flow assay (LFA) development to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in biotechnology, biochemistry, or a related field and hands-on experience with LFA development.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design, develop, and validate LFAs from scratch to ensure high sensitivity, specificity, and robustness.

  2. Expert-level knowledge of nanoparticle bioconjugation, particularly gold nanoparticles, including fabrication, characterization, and stability assessment.

  3. Proven ability to troubleshoot complex LFA performance issues, such as low signal, high background, flow inconsistencies, and long-term stability.

  4. Strong understanding of various LFA materials (nitrocellulose membranes, conjugate pads, sample pads) and their impact on assay performance.

  5. Proficiency in experimental design (DoE) and statistical analysis for LFA optimization.

  6. Experience with LFA manufacturing considerations and process scale-up.

  7. Highly analytical, logical with a strong problem-solving aptitude and meticulous attention to detail.

  8. Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to present complex scientific data clearly and concisely.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Experience developing LFAs for whole blood samples, including on-board buffer integration.

  2. Familiarity with regulatory guidelines relevant to IVD product development (e.g., ISO 13485).

  3. Experience with advanced analytical techniques for characterizing nanoparticles (e.g., DLS, Zeta Potential, TEM, UV-Vis Spectroscopy).
