Cloud Data Engineer Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Data Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data engineering and experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

  • The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, constructing, testing, and maintaining large-scale data acquisition pipelines using tools in the GCP ecosystem.
  • They will also build complex datasets based on business requirements and construct 'big data' pipeline architecture.

The role requires strong technical skills, including proficiency in programming languages such as Python, as well as experience with data processing tools like Data Flow, DataStream, CDC, Cloud Functions, Cloud Run, Pub Sub, BigQuery, and Cloud Storage.

  • The Cloud Data Engineer will work closely with stakeholders and business clients to identify opportunities for data acquisition and translate business needs into technical requirements.
  • They will use logs and alerts to effectively monitor pipelines and develop JSON messaging structures for integrating with various applications.

In addition to technical skills, the successful candidate must have excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

  • 5-7 years of experience in a data engineering role, with 3-4 years of core GCP experience.
  • Strong understanding of data engineering principles and practices.
  • Ability to design, build, and maintain large-scale data pipelines.
