Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead our transportation team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for setting up sortation centers in the region and identifying sites to ensure expansion and growth.

As an ideal candidate, you should possess well-rounded leadership capabilities, including people management skills, ability to adapt to evolving situations, and effective communication skills. You must also be able to set realistic performance expectations, achieve timelines, and provide great customer service.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Define, build, and execute transportation processes from Fulfillment centers to sortation hubs and Delivery center networks.
  • Lead hiring, training, and building a motivated workforce for sort hubs with support from HR and training teams.
  • Ensure enough bandwidth in sites for peak time volume management.
  • Coordinate with Finance, CS, FC, and Projects teams on city operations matters.
  • Conduct performance appraisals and mentor team members for handling efficient operations.
  • Continuously improve defined processes and attain sustained performance standards.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of employee and performance management experience.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules/shifts/work areas, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of performance metrics, process improvement, or lean techniques experience.
