Job Overview

The Data Quality team is responsible for implementing best-in-class data quality measurement programs globally in retail consumer banking. Key areas include:

  • Regulatory Compliance: Execution of business data quality measurements as per regulatory programs.
  • Metric Design: Identification of critical data elements and design of data quality rules.
  • Data Governance: Standardization of data definitions and ensuring consistency in measurement across systems, products, and regions.
  • DQ Scorecards: Publishing monthly quarterly scorecards at country level and preparing executive summary reports for senior management.
  • Issue Management: Identifying defects, investigating root causes, and following up with stakeholders for resolution.
  • Audit Support: Identifying cases on control gaps, policy breaches, and providing data evidence for audit completion.
Responsibilities
  • Analytical: Formulate analytical methodology, identify inconsistencies, anomalies, and patterns with data and generate actionable business insights.
  • Project Management: Develop and maintain project management trackers, provide regular updates to managers, senior leadership team, and stakeholders.
  • Liaison with Business Operations and Technology Stakeholders: Identify critical data elements, define data quality rules, and implement data quality measurement and monitoring.
  • Team Management: Directly manage a team of DQ analysts, involve closely in day-to-day work, help team members in understanding requirements, and provide required support.
Requirements
  • Skills: Proficient in SAS, SQL, Teradata, MS Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Domain Knowledge: Good understanding of Banking domain, Cards, Deposit, Loans, Wealth management, Insurance, etc., and Audit Framework, Data quality framework, Risk, control, Metrics.
  • Nice to Have Skills: Exposure to BI tools and technologies, automation, and process re-engineering optimization skills.
Educational and Experience Requirements

MBA or Master's Degree in Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Information Technology, Computer Applications, Engineering from a premier institute, BTech, B.E. in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Applications, or Post Graduate in Computer Science, Mathematics, Operations Research, Econometrics, Management Science and related fields. 10 years of hands-on experience in people management, delivering data quality, MIS, data management with at least 2-3 years' experience in Banking Industry.
