We are seeking a highly skilled Database Developer to join our team.

  • The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3+ years of experience working with PostgreSQL, as well as expertise in SQL, PL/pgSQL, including stored procedures, functions, triggers, and views.
  • They should also have knowledge of JSON and PostgreSQL support for JSON, as well as a good grasp of ETL concepts.
  • PostGIS proficiency and a solid understanding of core geospatial concepts are also essential.
  • In addition, the candidate should have experience with NoSQL databases (e.g. Apache Cassandra) and NoSQL support in PostgreSQL, as well as experience working with time series databases.
  • High-performance data concepts, such as message queuing and full-text indexing, are also desirable.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrable experience working with huge, interdependent, complex datasets and data structures is crucial.
  • The successful candidate will provide guidance and support to Application Developers, assist with schema design, code review, and SQL query tuning.
  • They will also be responsible for installing, tuning, implementing, and upgrading DBMS installations, administering, managing, and tuning databases, writing and deploying SQL patches, and upgrading and improving application schema and data upgrades.
