Embedded Linux Engineers are at the forefront of bringing open source innovations to the global market.

Canonical is a pioneering tech firm that publishes Ubuntu, a widely used platform for AI, IoT and cloud computing.

We are looking for talented engineers who can expand our reach in mission-critical industries such as Automotive, Medical Devices, Industrial Systems, Robotics, and Telco, as well as Consumer Electronics.

The ideal candidate will have extensive Linux experience, solid embedded Linux knowledge (Yocto, Buildroot...) or RTOS, and fluency in at least one programming language (Golang, Python, C, C++, or Rust).

Strong communication and presentation skills, along with a personal drive to meet commitments, are essential for this role.

As a Field Engineer, you will engage customers during presales, elaborate solutions, participate in project delivery, and convey market requirements to key stakeholders.

You will be responsible for customer advocacy and trusted advisor roles, requiring excellent communication and technical skills.

Required Skills:
  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Extensive Linux experience - Debian or Ubuntu preferred
  • Solid embedded Linux experience (Yocto, Buildroot...) or RTOS
  • Fluency in at least one programming language (Golang, Python, C, C++, or Rust)
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Result-oriented, ability to multi-task
  • A personal drive to meet commitments
