Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Purchase Manager to join our team at Soho House & Co. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about procurement, supply chain management, and operations.

The role will involve developing and implementing key procurement strategies, ensuring that plans are aligned with production/project requirements. You will be responsible for preparing yearly budgets, analyzing monthly purchase and variance reports, and taking initiatives towards aggressive price negotiations with vendors.

You will also be expected to vet necessary commercial documents, handle complete commercial documentation for imports compliance with statutory regulations, and ensure adherence to quality standards and quality system management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Development and implementation of key procurement strategies and plans
  • Preparation of yearly budgets and analysis of monthly purchase and variance reports
  • Average salary: $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience
  • Aggressive price negotiations with vendors and identification of suitable vendors with a proper price-quality balance
  • Vetting of necessary commercial documents and handling of complete commercial documentation for imports compliance with statutory regulations
  • Ensure adherence to quality standards and quality system management
  • Update product knowledge with regards to the latest trends in the industry
  • Steady and timely supply of materials at competitive rates and exercise optimum inventory control
  • Develop a cost-effective vendor database critical for effective supply of required goods and materials
  • Analyze market and delivery systems to assess present and future material availability
  • Handle all stores-related activities, formalities, and monthly stocktaking
  • Verify requirements from projects and other departments and plan procurement of materials for on-time delivery
  • Recognize taxation/commercial and other terms critical for procurement of materials at feasible rates and terms
  • Direct and coordinate activities of personnel engaged in buying, selling, and distributing materials, equipment, and supplies
  • Validate invoices as per agreed terms and resolve any invoicing/payment issues
  • Develop and implement purchase and contract management instructions, policies, and procedures
  • Handle audits of hotels in regard to the materials department and resolve queries with auditors in terms of process and documentation
  • Obtain feedback from auditors for better understanding of points raised by them
  • Plan and organize the process of advertisement in local newspapers for Annual Tenders
