Legal Leadership Team Member

We are seeking a seasoned legal professional to join our leadership team as a member.

The role involves working closely with the Group Chief Legal Officer (GCLO) in all aspects of legal affairs. This includes significant interaction with senior management, providing advice on various legal issues, managing outside counsels, and leading internal teams.

  • Provide strategic legal advice influencing decision-making.
  • Assist with litigation strategy and manage relationships with outside counsel.
  • Oversee the legal aspects of business operations.
  • Provide legal support for business acquisition and project life cycle.

We are looking for an individual with:

  • A law degree from a reputable institution.
  • At least 15 years of experience in multinational companies, preferably in power/infrastructure/energy sectors.
  • A mix of in-house and law firm experience is desirable.

Key Responsibilities:

Corporate Deals: Lead equity deals, ensuring closure and resolution of outstanding issues.

Contracts: Manage the contracts function, including drafting, negotiations, and finalization of contracts with third-party vendors, suppliers, and consultants.

Mergers and Acquisitions: Defend indemnity claims related to corporate funding/sale of assets transactions.

Business Acquisition: Support the Business Acquisition team in competitive bids, including review of bid documents and risk analysis.

Policies and Advocacy: Provide general legal advice on strategy and interpretation of regulations.

Process Formulation: Develop processes, SOPs, and strategy documents to streamline processes and mitigate risk exposure.

Day-to-Day Support: Offer legal advisory services to business teams on day-to-day issues.
