Project Specialist

Job Description:

  • This role is responsible for delivering project requirements on time, within scope, and within budget. The Project Specialist will work closely with the Project Manager and Engineering Manager to ensure successful project delivery.
  • The incumbent will prepare Engineering Work Packages (EWPs) in consultation with the Engineering Manager, compile and deliver monthly engineering status reports, participate in design reviews, represent the discipline in project engineering coordination meetings, and review and evaluate technical work prepared by junior engineers, intermediate engineers, designers, technicians, and technologists.
  • In addition, the Project Specialist will be responsible for ensuring relevant technical experts are involved in the design process as required, facilitating the sharing of technical expertise across projects, performing conceptual and detailed engineering design, preparing engineering work where required, providing training for resources assigned to the project, and working to ensure the implementation of safety in design.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as engineering or technology.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
