Key Storage Expert Role

Job Overview:

This role entails managing and maintaining storage infrastructure, including collaboration with support teams, problem solving, and troubleshooting. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in handling storage environments and possess strong technical skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day administration for SAN and storage environments.
  • Support design, operation, workflow, and issue resolution for storage infrastructure.
  • Maintain systems-level maintenance for storage infrastructure.
  • Provide Storage Area Network Configuration and Administration.

Requirements:

  • 8 years+ experience in handling majority of activities mentioned in the scope above.
  • Experience in handling Hitachi storages and Brocade switches infrastructure.
  • Exposure to Operations and Management activities on Hitachi Storage(s), Unified compute platforms, various Host O/S.
  • Strong verbal and written communication.
  • Hitachi Technical certification is desirable.

Key Skills:

  • Hands-on experience with Hitachi Mid-Range and Enterprise storages operations support.
  • Knowledge of zoning via CISCO SAN Switches, both CLI and GUI.
  • Understanding of storage replication technologies like GAD, HUR, True Copy, Local Replication.
  • Proficiency in monitoring tools such as OPS Center Analyser and Hi-Track.
  • Troubleshooting skills, including checking performance issues at storage level and IO errors.
