About the Job:

We are seeking a skilled Data Preservation Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of data storage technologies and be able to design and implement secure and efficient data backup and recovery systems.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Design, implement, and maintain data backup and recovery systems using industry-leading technologies.
  • Develop and execute data backup and restore plans to ensure business continuity and minimize data loss.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address data security risks.
  • Provide technical support and training to end-users on data backup and recovery procedures.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of emerging trends and technologies in data storage and preservation.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Minimum 2-4 years of experience in data storage and preservation technologies.
  • Strong understanding of data backup and recovery concepts, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Hands-on experience with SAN/NAS environments and enterprise storage management.
  • Experience with monitoring and alerting tools to ensure system stability and performance.
  • Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Shell, VB) for automation and optimization tasks.
  • Basic understanding of multiple operating systems (Windows, Linux, Unix variants).
  • Good communication and coordination skills for handling multiple stakeholders and vendors.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certifications in data storage/preservation technologies (e.g., Dell EMC, NetApp, IBM, HPE).
  • Exposure to enterprise IT infrastructure within BFSI/Banking/Telecom/Enterprise domains.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
