About the Role

We are seeking a skilled MarkLogic developer to join our engineering team. This role requires in-depth technical expertise in MarkLogic and related frameworks to design, develop, and optimize enterprise-scale applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and development of MarkLogic-based solutions, ensuring scalability and high availability.
  • Implement advanced querying using XQuery, Optic Query, and Semantic Technologies.
  • Develop using MarkLogic DataHub framework and Apache NiFi.
  • Architect, build, and manage REST APIs and integrations with external systems.
  • Collaborate with DevOps teams to design CI/CD pipelines, version control, and automated deployments.
  • Work with cloud platforms (preferably Azure) for hosting and managing enterprise-scale MarkLogic solutions.
  • Apply best practices in performance optimization, security, and data modeling.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production issues related to MarkLogic applications.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 8+ years total experience, with 5+ years in MarkLogic development.
  • Strong expertise in MarkLogic, XQuery, Optic Query, and Semantic Technologies.
  • Hands-on experience with DataHub framework and Apache NiFi.
  • Strong experience in designing and developing REST APIs.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure preferred) for application deployment.
  • Working knowledge of Git, Gradle, IDEs, and CI/CD processes.
  • Exposure to DevOps methodologies and experience in agile teams.
