Health, Safety and Environmental Professional


Job Description:

We are seeking a proactive and experienced Health, Safety and Environmental professional to support the safe execution of oil & gas projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in health, safety, and environmental management, with a passion for promoting a culture of excellence.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 8-10 years experience in HSE in construction, fabrication, installation and/or commissioning projects/operations in the oil and gas industries. A bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required, along with certifications such as NEBOSH IGC or equivalent and Lead Auditor ISO 45001/ISO 14001.

The role requires a strong understanding of HSE issues, practices and behavioral aspects in the Oil & Gas business. The successful candidate will be able to lead a team of HSE personnel and develop and implement HSE plans, Welfare plans, Emergency response procedures/plans and site specific HSE procedures / work instructions.

  • Strong understanding of HSE issues, practices and behavioral aspects in the Oil & Gas business.
  • Able to lead a team of HSE personnel.
  • Sound understanding of the HSE Management System and HSE legislative requirements.
  • Ability to develop and implement HSE plans, Welfare plans, Emergency response procedures/plans and site specific HSE procedures / work instructions.

The ideal candidate will also have practical experience in implementation of SSOW (PTW/ WMS/ Risk Assessment etc.), ability to conduct training/awareness sessions on relevant HSE procedures applicable to the project, ability to implement practical H2S control measures, ability to conduct HSE audits and inspections, ability to investigate incidents, identify immediate and root causes, and effective interpersonal and verbal & written communication skills.


Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • At least 8-10 years of experience in HSE in construction, fabrication, installation and/or commissioning projects/operations in the oil and gas industries.
  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Certifications such as NEBOSH IGC or equivalent and Lead Auditor ISO 45001/ISO 14001.
  • Practical experience in implementation of SSOW (PTW/ WMS/ Risk Assessment etc.).

You must also possess excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
