Database Tester Role

We seek a skilled professional with expertise in SQL-based testing and data-intensive application testing. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and execute test cases for database validation.
  • Write complex SQL queries to validate business logic and data integrity.
  • Perform data reconciliation and validation between source and target systems.
  • Utilize Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
  • Conduct backend testing to ensure proper integration of applications with databases.
  • Identify and track issues using test management tools.
  • Collaborate with development teams to clarify requirements and resolve issues.
  • Prepare detailed test documentation.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to process improvements.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in QA with a focus on database testing.
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL, including writing and optimizing queries.
  • Strong experience in data validation and reconciliation across multiple systems.
  • At least mid-level knowledge of Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, lookups).
  • Familiarity with test management tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Experience working in Agile environments.
