Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Database Administrator to join our team. As a Senior DBA, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining high-availability MSSQL databases, designing and implementing transactional database models for SAAS applications, and ensuring optimal resource utilization.

You will work closely with development teams to integrate database solutions with applications and provide expertise in CI/CD pipelines for database-related deployments.

A key aspect of this role is to ensure the security, availability, integrity, and recovery of company data stored in production databases, upholding the highest ethics and integrity in your position.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 5-8 years of experience as a Database Administrator, primarily in MSSQL environments.
  • Proven experience in application development and support as an Application DBA.
  • Strong expertise in optimizing high-transaction, high-volume databases for SAAS applications.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud database platforms (AWS, Azure, etc.).
  • Proficiency in CI/CD tools and pipelines, with a background in development and DevOps.
Preferred Work Experience and Skills
  • Experience with additional databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, NoSQL).
  • Familiarity with containerized environments (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and microservices architecture.
  • Strong scripting and automation skills (e.g., PowerShell, Python, or similar).
  • Experience in managing database security and compliance.
