Job Title

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Education Specialist to lead our reading and literature programs. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing high-quality educational initiatives that foster a deep appreciation for reading and critical analysis of texts.

  1. Program Development: Drive excellence in literacy instruction by designing and delivering engaging reading programs across all relevant age groups or academic levels.
  2. Collaboration: Work closely with teachers to enhance their instructional practices and promote a culture of collaboration and shared expertise.
  3. Student Engagement: Develop strategies to effectively engage students in the reading process, promoting a love of learning and a deeper understanding of complex texts.
  4. Community Outreach: Foster partnerships with parents and the wider community to promote literacy and a lifelong love of reading.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in English (post-graduate qualifications in language and literature desirable).
  • Experience: 2-5 years of teaching experience in reading and literature at K-12 level.

  • Strong Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Data Analysis: Strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make informed decisions.
  • Presentation & Facilitation: Excellent presentation and facilitation skills, with the ability to design and deliver engaging professional development opportunities.
  • Educational Technology: Proficiency in educational technology and its application in literacy instruction.
  • Collaborative Environment: Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
