Senior Financial Professional Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Professional to drive our accounting function and support our growth trajectory.

The successful candidate will report directly to the Accounting Manager and oversee key accounting processes, ensuring seamless execution and high-quality outcomes.

  • Perform daily financial responsibilities, including bank activity recording and supporting accounts payable issues.
  • Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Manage monthly, quarterly, and year-end close calendars and processes with precision.
  • Prepare journal entries for reclassifications, accruals, balance sheet reconciliations, flux/variance analysis, and draft financial reviews.
  • Assist with financial requests, audits, and external auditor interactions.
  • Prepare and report cash status/forecast and borrowing base calculations.
  • Provide guidance and support to cross-functional teams on accounting methods and procedures.
  • Assist on projects and ad-hoc assignments as needed.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
  • Minimum 8+ years of experience in accounting or finance.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Attention to detail, quick learner, and motivated individual.
  • Ability to adapt to changing business requirements and respond under pressure.
  • Broad understanding of business processes and team player attitude.
  • Excellent MS Office Suite skills and advanced computer spreadsheet skills.
  • Experience with major ERP systems is a plus.
  • Private companies funded by Venture Capital/Private Equity experience is a plus.

This role requires a strong technical background, excellent communication skills, and a willingness to learn and grow with our organization.
