Job Title: Business Development Analyst

Embassy Group is seeking a highly skilled Business Development Analyst to join our team. As a Business Development Analyst, you will play a critical role in evaluating investment opportunities and monitoring projects to ensure their financial feasibility.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Conduct preliminary screenings of investment opportunities, collaborating with various functional teams to assess residential and commercial real estate projects.
  2. Analyze opportunities presented to the investment committee, involving in-depth financial modeling and evaluation of transactions.
  3. Develop a deep understanding of financial evaluation parameters, including NPV, IRR, DCF, and relative valuation.
  4. Build a database of market practices and standard industry procedures for project acquisition, JDA, JVs, and other relevant areas.
  5. Prepare written memos on investment opportunities, requiring strong writing skills and proficiency in Word and PowerPoint.
  6. Work through transactions, including due diligence and research into market and industry trends.
  7. Obtain in-depth knowledge of the market and industry, analyzing financials, tenant profiles, and projections.
  8. Carry out research into industry prospects, gathering information on growth, competitors, and market share possibilities.
  9. Prepare monthly and quarterly asset management reports, including updates on development, leasing, operations, and finance.
  10. Stay up-to-date on income tax laws, including capital gains, GST, and other relevant regulations.
  11. Coordinate with internal teams and external consultants on accounting and taxation requirements, financial structures, legal documentation, and approval processes.
Requirements:
  1. Proven analytical ability and strong critical thinking skills.
  2. Strong knowledge of finance concepts and real estate financial modeling and valuation.
  3. Deep understanding of commercial real estate sector dynamics in India, with a focus on metro cities.
  4. Excellent communication, networking, and influencing skills.
  5. Strong written communication skills.
  6. Planning, organizing, and management skills.
  7. Experience working in a matrix organization.
  8. Highly motivated and self-directed.
Qualifications and Work Experience:
  1. Qualified CA, Civil Engineering, or Masters in Real Estate.
  2. Minimum 2-3 years of experience in the Real Estate sector, including IPC, Investment Banking, Big 4, and Financial institutions.
  3. Proficiency in Real Estate Financial Modelling, including Property DCF Valuation, Investment Evaluation, and Preparation of Pro-forma financial statements.
  4. Advanced MS Excel and MS PowerPoint skills, with a sound knowledge of other MS Office applications and MIS/business reporting systems.
