Job Summary

This role is a pivotal position for the Senior Financial Analyst to create, manage and monitor annual financial plans and forecasts for hospital departments and business units.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance, accounting or a related field and 5-7 years of experience in financial planning, analysis and budgeting. They must be skilled in financial analysis, business strategy, cost-saving initiatives and data-driven insights to support strategic decisions.

  • Develop financial models to support strategic initiatives and investment opportunities.
  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and compare actual financial results against budgets and forecasts.
  • Analyse the drivers of financial performance and provide detailed explanations for deviations from the budget and forecasting.
Key Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

  • Financial Planning and Analysis: Develop and maintain comprehensive financial plans and forecasts to ensure accurate representation of departmental and business unit performance.
  • Strategic Decision Making: Analyse financial data and provide recommendations to senior management on strategic initiatives and investment opportunities.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Develop and track budgets and forecasts to ensure alignment with organisational goals and objectives.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A strong educational background in finance, accounting or a related field.
  • At least 5-7 years of experience in financial planning, analysis and budgeting.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
