Job Overview – Architecture Draftsman and 3D Visualizer

An Architecture Draftsman and 3D Visualizer plays a pivotal role in transforming architectural concepts into detailed technical drawings and realistic visualizations. This position requires strong drafting skills, attention to detail, and creativity to support architects, engineers, and designers in presenting accurate plans and lifelike renderings for projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drafting & Documentation:
    • Prepare 2D architectural drawings, layouts, and working drawings as per project requirements.
    • Develop detailed plans, sections, elevations, and construction documents.
    • Ensure drawings comply with building codes, regulations, and design standards.
  • 3D Modeling & Visualization:
    • Create accurate 3D models of architectural designs using SketchUp (and other 3D tools if required).
    • Produce realistic 3D renders, walkthroughs, and visual presentations for client approvals.
    • Apply textures, materials, and lighting to enhance the visualization quality.
  • Project Support:
    • Assist architects in design development and technical detailing.
    • Revised drawings and 3D models based on client/architect feedback.
    • Collaborate with engineers, designers, and project managers for coordination.
  • Task Completion:
    • Deliver assigned drafting and 3D visualization tasks within deadlines.
    • Maintain organized files of drawings, models, and project documents.
    • Ensure accuracy and completeness of all deliverables before submission.
    Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Technical Skills:
    • Strong proficiency in SketchUp (essential for modeling & rendering).
    • Knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, or similar drafting tools (advantageous).
  • Creative & Problem-Solving Skills:
    • Understanding of architectural design principles, construction details, and building standards.
    • Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and blueprints.
    • Creativity in design visualization and attention to detail.
  • Communication & Teamwork Skills:
    • Good communication and teamwork skills to coordinate with architects and clients.
    • Time management to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
