About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Design Engineer to join our team at the Goa factory. The successful candidate will be responsible for product improvement, collaboration with production teams, and ensuring smooth alignment between design and production requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Product Improvement: Understand existing product improvement requirements of Line Pumps & Boom Pumps. Collaborate with production teams to address design-related issues during assembly.
  2. Design Collaboration: Work closely with quality & service team to identify current design issues in field machines & ways to overcome them.
  3. Issue Resolution: Lead initiatives to resolve existing issues within defined timelines. Support improvements in production efficiency, product quality, and safety measures within the factory.
  4. VAVE Ideas: Identify Value-Added ideas within the product & process. Implement these ideas with close monitoring.
  5. Process Alignment: Coordinate with the Pune design team to ensure that the assembly process aligns with the original design intent & identifies deviations.
  6. Root Cause Analysis: Conduct root cause analysis for production/service issues and recommend corrective actions.
  7. Component Design: Assist in the design and modification of components and assemblies based on feedback from the production line.
  8. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Secondary Responsibilities
  • New Product Development: Support the development and launch of new products, ensuring smooth transitions from design to production.
  • Production Performance: Participate in regular reviews to assess production performance, identify bottlenecks, and propose solutions.
Requirements
  • CAD Software: Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., Solid Edge, AutoCAD) is required.
  • Lean Manufacturing: Knowledge of Lean manufacturing or Six Sigma is an advantage.
Work Environment

This role is based in the Goa factory with occasional travel to the Pune headquarters. The ideal candidate should be ready to travel to job sites & suppliers based on needs.
