Data Scientist

As a Data Scientist, you will use Python to manipulate large data sets and draw insights. You will develop predictive analytics solutions using machine learning algorithms, build concept and category models using text mining algorithms, and conduct peer reviews of code.

  • Develop predictive analytics solutions using ML algorithms such as regression, classification, and random forest.
  • Build concept and category models using text mining algorithms.
  • Conduct peer review and offer recommendations on other people's code.
  • Work with developers to create sustaining pipelines for web applications.
  • Document the requirements to development process.
  • Collaborate with technical teams and other organizations to understand the product and data.
  • Find and interpret large data sets to help predict costs.
  • Learn and understand data resources and know when, how, and which to use.
  • Identify, analyze, and solve systematic problems while maintaining focus on the bigger picture.
  • Work with the team to ensure data analysis and developed algorithms can be appropriately applied for negotiation support.
  • Ensure data collected, analyzed, and presented result in actionable insights for negotiation support.
  • Engage and participate in negotiation support to bolster the use of data analytics within supplier negotiations.
  • Understand high-level business objectives and continually align those objectives to meet the needs of the business.
  • Multitask, prioritize, and project manage independently in an environment with competing priorities.
  • Have experience working in a technical, operational, or manufacturing environment with the ability to translate that knowledge into financial opportunities.
  • Have diverse functional experience with a desire to use data in negotiations.
  • Excel in communication skills and collaborate effectively in a team setting.
