Advanced Automated Tester

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the quality and reliability of our native mobile applications (Android and iOS), web platforms, and Progressive Web Applications (PWAs) through robust automation testing strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable and robust automation testing frameworks using Java for native mobile apps (Android and iOS), web applications, and PWAs.
• Lead the development and execution of comprehensive automated test suites, ensuring maximum test coverage and efficiency.
• Identify, evaluate, and integrate AI-powered tools and techniques into our testing workflows to improve test case generation, defect prediction, visual regression testing, and overall automation efficiency.
• Enhance and maintain existing test automation frameworks, tools, and documentation to ensure they are efficient, reliable, and easy to use.
• Provide technical guidance and support to test engineering teams in their automation efforts and help troubleshoot complex automation issues.
• Expand the capabilities of the automation framework to seamlessly support testing across various environments and develop automated component tests to validate individual component behavior.
• Create detailed, well-structured automation test plans and test cases based on functional and non-functional requirements.
• Develop and apply innovative testing processes and methodologies for new and existing products to meet evolving needs.
• Set up and maintain test automation frameworks across multiple application platforms (Web, Android, iOS, and backend systems).
• Create, manage, and effectively communicate bug reports to the development team, ensuring timely resolution.
• Collaborate closely with deployment teams to identify and resolve any system-level issues during the release process.
• Contribute to building and managing automated build, test, and deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
• Investigate and recommend appropriate automated testing tools and technologies based on project requirements and industry best practices.
• Utilize knowledge of Performance testing principles and Linux/Unix commands for effective testing and troubleshooting.

Requirements:

• 4-6 years of proven practical experience in Software Testing or a related role, with a strong focus on test automation.
• Deep understanding of Automation testing methodologies, principles, and best practices.
• Extensive experience in setting up and maintaining automation testing frameworks for Native Apps (Android and iOS), Web applications, PWAs, and API Testing.
• Strong proficiency in using testing tools and technologies such as Jira, Git, Appium, Selenium, RestAssured, TestNG, Cucumber, and CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc.).
• Demonstrable familiarity and practical experience with AI-powered tools and techniques relevant to software testing (e.g., AI-driven test generation, visual AI testing, defect prediction tools).
• Solid experience as a Java Developer, SDET, or Test Automation Engineer with strong coding skills in Java.
• Significant experience in automating various software layers (UI, services, APIs, etc.), debugging applications and automated test scripts, and optimizing their performance.
• Demonstrated ability to programmatically test your own code and contribute to code quality.
• Minimum understanding of design patterns, data structures, and layered architecture, with the ability to apply these concepts in test environment.
• Proven experience working within Agile process management methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban).
• Strong ability to evaluate and select appropriate automated testing tools and frameworks to address specific testing challenges.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional and remote teams.
• Working knowledge of Performance testing concepts and Linux/Unix commands for environment management and troubleshooting.
