The role of an architect encompasses the creation of clear diagrams using AutoCAD, driven by a deep understanding of project completion steps and effective communication with relevant stakeholders to ensure timely execution.

Responsibilities:
  • Delve into architectural designs and plans
  • Ensure all designs meet industry standards and government regulations
  • Explore and research different materials
  • Supervise Junior Architects and delegate tasks
  • Coordinate skill enhancement workshops and deliver scheduled programs
  • Explain design requirements and specifications to Builders, Electricians, and Technicians
  • Communicate project status and completion timelines to clients
  • Prepare building models and structure plans
  • Conduct mockup sessions
  • Guide the construction project from start to finish
  • Present project briefs to clients
  • Understand clients' requirements/preferences and environmental impacts on the construction project
  • Create blueprints and make alterations based on client feedback
  • Develop projects by adhering to specified budget and timeline
  • Undertake regular site visits and inspections
  • Develop and interpret structural designs and act as mentors, managers, and advisors
  • Control projects from start to finish to ensure high-quality, innovative, and functional design
  • Demonstrate creativity, foresight, and architectural judgment in developing architectural solutions
  • Produce construction documents using REVIT
  • Understand construction assemblies and best practices
  • Actively coordinate design and equipment with consultants and other disciplines
  • Research and select building products and compose written specifications
  • Participate in project meetings and document discussions through meeting minutes
  • Actively participate in quality assurance/quality control review sessions at project milestones
  • Compile documentation required to submit projects to Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) for review and approval
  • Track submissions and respond to comments and requests from AHJs
  • Manage project through Construction Administration phase by routing RFIs and shop drawings
  • Travel to and visit project construction sites to observe construction progress and compose field reports
  • Continually learn and stay informed of new systems, methods, and sustainable practices
  • Support strategic goals of the firm, studio, department, and manager
  • Be self-motivated; able to work independently and in a team environment
  • Excel as a problem solver and independent thinker with good listening skills and strong follow-through
  • Excel in graphic, communication, organizational, and collaborative skills
  • Will to work on a variety of project types, building typologies, and architectural styles
  • Strong proficiency modeling in REVIT and SketchUp
  • Growing understanding of building codes and how to apply them
  • Maintain C-P/Client standards and QC throughout projects
  • Assist PM in setting scope and budget
  • Assist client's interests in public hearings and meetings
