Senior Taxation Expert

A strategic role at a leading advisory firm, the Senior Taxation Expert will be responsible for managing complex engagements involving mergers, acquisitions, and joint ventures. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and in-depth knowledge of tax laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution, regulatory compliance, and optimal tax efficiency.
  • Conduct detailed quantitative analysis and apply effective structuring strategies to help clients achieve their commercial and strategic goals.
  • Ideate on tax structuring options for multinational clients and evaluate India inbound structuring options.
  • Manage end-to-end regulatory compliance processes for acquisitions and coordinate the implementation of subsequent mergers and consolidations across India.
  • Plan tax due diligence work and advise clients in negotiating transaction terms based on findings.
  • Devise practical approaches to resolving tax issues in structuring assignments and conduct comprehensive reviews of business operations.
Client Management & Business Development
  • Proactively engage with clients, respond to updates, and develop relationships with CFOs and Tax Directors.
  • Identify and ideate leads from public and private sources, constantly evaluating feasibility and sharing new potential client databases with Partners.
Knowledge Management
  • Understand the tax compliance landscape and identify how technology can improve compliance processes.
  • Acquire industry insights, develop content for networking events, and share knowledge acquired from external forums with team members.
Brand Management
  • Represent the firm's expertise at various external forums, interact with peers, and build a high-quality network in the industry.
  • Publish articles and research papers regularly to increase visibility and credibility.
People Management
  • Provide guidance to the team, proactively enabling them to deliver on assignments.
  • Connect with team members regularly to ensure assignment closure within agreed timelines.
Internal Processes
  • Review engagement letters, monitor invoicing processes, and establish data controls for research papers.
  • Prepare service summaries, review important client communications, and record facts and research securely.
