Database Professional

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled and experienced database professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 6-12 years of experience in MS-SQL Database administration, PostgreSQL DBA, and scripting using perl and power shell.
Key Responsibilities:- Install, upgrade, migrate, and configure SQL Servers.
- Apply patches and service packs for SQL Server.
- Configure high availability and disaster recovery solutions.
- Set up automated alerts for team notifications.
- Work on incidents, change tickets, and problem tickets.
- Setup maintenance plans for backups, database integrity checks, rebuild indexes, update statistics, and ensure job execution without issues.
- Troubleshoot locking issues, including deadlocks, blocking, lock timeouts, and fix them.
- Participate in bridge calls to troubleshoot and resolve P1 (SEV1) and P2 (SEV2) incidents.
- Have hands-on experience with Always On and DB Mirroring.
- Execute database schema changes and maintain controlled development environments.
- Collaborate with application developers to test, configure, and optimize servers based on application demands.
- Handle database object deployment to Integration, QA, UAT, and Production.
- Provide daily support for high OLTP HA of SQL Server databases, identifying root causes of production problems, and working with developers to resolve them.
- Work on performance tuning, creating missing indexes.
- Possess any of the following certifications:
- SQL Server certifications.
- Experience with SQL Cloud-based solutions.
