Job Role: Permitting Director

Job Summary

This senior leadership position oversees the entire permitting process for fiber-to-the-home projects.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in telecommunications, project management, and regulatory compliance.

The role involves strategic planning, team leadership, and stakeholder collaboration to ensure seamless project execution while maintaining high standards of regulatory compliance and client satisfaction.

  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement a comprehensive permitting strategy that aligns with business goals.
  • Regulatory Expertise: Leverage experience in telecom permitting requirements, including federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Permit Acquisition: Lead the identification, preparation, submission, and acquisition of necessary permits from authorities.
  • Project Management: Oversee the permitting lifecycle, ensuring project requirements are met on time and within budget.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Build relationships with clients, regulatory agencies, municipalities, utilities, and other stakeholders.
  • Compliance: Stay up-to-date with industry regulations and zoning codes, ensuring all permits meet legal and environmental standards.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential permitting challenges and develop proactive solutions.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously enhance permitting processes, adopting industry best practices and digital tools.
Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum 7 years of experience in permitting and project management, with at least 3-5 years in US telecom market.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in project management tools and telecom permitting requirements.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Urban Planning, Environmental Science, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Leadership Skills: Exceptional leadership abilities with negotiation, conflict resolution, and stakeholder management skills.
