Job Description

The Senior Performance Tester will play a pivotal role in the engineering team, developing a comprehensive performance testing strategy. This includes defining detailed performance testing requirements and translating them into appropriate scenarios to replicate production.

  • Maintain technical expertise in performance/load testing principles.
  • Design and develop solutions for supporting Cloud (Azure DevOps) and CI/CD for efficient software validation.
  • Communicate effectively across multiple teams and external vendors.
  • Monitor server metrics using Application Performance Monitoring tools.
  • Participate in continuous improvement measures to increase automation effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Innovate and implement solutions based on industry standards.
  • Analyze business requirements, solution designs, and process documentation to identify feasible business-critical transactions.
  • Implement best performance test practices and standards as part of Enterprise solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct endurance, stress, load, and volume testing to validate production readiness of software applications and infrastructure.
  • Provide performance testing software systems support for respective business units.
  • Coordinate and execute creation of test cases, scripts, and performance test execution.
  • Design, develop, and execute scripts to validate test cases defined within projects.
  • Perform load testing across multiple messaging protocols, focusing on overall application performance.

Personal Qualities and Experience

  • 7+ years of performance testing experience.
  • 5+ years of experience with OpenText LoadRunner and protocols like Citrix, RDP, Java, and mobile technologies.
  • Significant experience with JMeter and APM tools like NewRelic and Grafana.
  • Proven experience with SOAP Web Services and RESTful Web Services testing.
  • Strong knowledge of performance testing principles, techniques, and standards.
  • Strong knowledge of software development lifecycle and quality assurance processes.
  • Strong knowledge of CI/CD tools and practices.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Exceptional analytical skills and troubleshooting skills.
