Job Opportunity: Automotive Translator

We are seeking a skilled translator to bridge communication between our Japanese-speaking stakeholders and engineering, manufacturing, and customer service teams. This role requires not just language proficiency but also an understanding of automotive technical terminology, documentation, and workflows.

This position involves translating various content (e.g., manuals, presentations) from English to [Target Language] and vice versa, producing transcripts in line with our style guide, evaluating translations for accuracy and cultural appropriateness, and proofreading translated material for grammar and consistency.

  • Translation services will be provided for a variety of automotive content.
  • Transcripts will be produced according to our guidelines.
  • Translations will be evaluated for quality and relevance.

The ideal candidate will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong understanding of grammar, sentence structure, and the relationship between spoken and written language. They should have Japanese language certification at B1 or B2 level (JLPT N2 or N3 or equivalent), proven experience as a professional translator, and strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
