Senior Database Engineer

This is a key role in the operations team, responsible for ensuring seamless delivery and management of production systems and services.
Main Responsibilities:- Database administration, design, creation, configuration, maintenance, and support.
- Implementing high availability solutions for mission-critical events, database mirroring, replication, and log shipping using Active/Passive SQL Clustering.
- Maintaining security and integrity controls including backup and disaster recovery strategies for document management system and MySQL databases.
- Collaborating with business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical design specifications and creating high-level documentation for database design and objects.
- Setting up alerts, notifications, operators, and database mail configurations for system errors, insufficient resources, and fatal database issues.
- Data analysis using tools like Power BI and Tableau.
- Database partitioning, replication, migration, and performance optimization.
- Handling large databases exceeding 1 TB.
- Experience with MySQL Backup and monitoring tools.
- Familiarity with other database systems such as MSSQL Server.
- Knowledge of cloud-based database services like Amazon RDS and Google Cloud SQL.
- Minimum 3 years of experience required.
- Educational qualification: 15 years full-time education.
- Proficiency in writing and optimizing SQL statements.
- Experience with replication configuration in MySQL.
- Able to work remotely on-call.
