Electromechanical Design Leader Job Overview

The Electromechanical Design Leader will be responsible for leading the design engineering team in the development of low-voltage circuit breakers and accessories.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead design engineering teams to develop product solutions that meet customer requirements and specifications
  • Develop and implement design strategies to improve product performance, quality, and manufacturing efficiency
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define design requirements, validate designs, and implement manufacturing readiness
  • Manage prototype design, build, and test to ensure product qualification and certification
  • Identify and troubleshoot design concept failures and implement corrective actions

Requirements:

  • BE or B Tech in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with 8+ years of relevant experience
  • Proven experience in product design, production engineering, and value engineering
  • Knowledge of electrical distribution products, including low-voltage circuit breakers and MCCBs
  • Manufacturing knowledge, including moulding, casting, and assembly processes
  • Good understanding of materials, plastics, and CAD/CAE software like Pro/E
  • Project management skills and ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams
