Security Monitoring Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Security Monitoring Specialist to join our team, working remotely to analyze security alerts and detect potential threats. This role is ideal for individuals with hands-on experience in SIEM tools and incident detection.

  • Monitor and analyze security alerts using IBM QRadar and Microsoft Sentinel.
  • Identify and respond to security incidents across enterprise systems.
  • Develop correlation rules and dashboards for proactive threat detection.
  • Conduct log analysis from multiple sources, including firewalls, servers, and applications.
  • Collaborate with security teams to implement threat detection and response playbooks.
  • Provide detailed reports on incidents and security posture improvements.
  • Continuously improve detection capabilities through threat intelligence feeds.
  • Ensure compliance with industry best practices.

Required Skills:

  • Proven experience in SOC environments with incident detection and response.
  • Strong expertise in IBM QRadar and Microsoft Sentinel.
  • Knowledge of log analysis, SIEM tuning, and security event correlation.
  • Familiarity with threat intelligence and incident response procedures.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications:

  • Certifications such as SOC Analyst or CEH.
  • Knowledge of cloud security platforms like Azure or AWS.
