Procurement Specialist Role

The Procurement Specialist will be responsible for leading the procurement process to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of materials across various sites.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Purchase quality materials at optimal costs.
  • Ensure timely receipt and processing of all orders.
Major Accountability:
  • Identify alternative products in the market, conduct thorough analysis, and present findings to management.
  • Oversee end-to-end procurement of assigned materials, ensuring timely delivery and prompt payment to suppliers.
  • Optimize inventory levels by managing lot sizes and minimizing delivery lead times.
  • Transfer excess dead stock to other operational sites as needed.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with vendors through ongoing performance evaluation and collaborative improvement initiatives.
  • Coordinate effectively with all sites through regular visits and communication.
  • Develop and nurture professional networks within and outside the organization.
  • Continuously monitor, assess, and take corrective action to achieve set objectives.
Candidate Requirements:
  • Expertise in construction materials is essential.
  • Experience in high-rise building projects is preferred.
  • Enhance product value and negotiate annual rate contracts or explore alternative products/vendors/substituting OEMs.
  • Excellent negotiation and presentation skills are required for effective site coordination.
  • This role involves research-oriented tasks.
  • Continuous monitoring, review, and timely corrective action are necessary to achieve targets.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field is required.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in purchasing.
  • Real estate experience will be an added advantage.
  • Strong understanding of property market dynamics, valuation, and laws.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in real estate management software and tools is essential.
