Linux System Administrator Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Linux system administrator to join our team. As a Linux system administrator, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our Linux systems, including troubleshooting, patching, and optimizing performance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex Linux system issues, including boot problems and file system corruption.
  • Patch and update Linux systems to ensure they are secure and up-to-date.
  • Optimize Linux system performance to meet business requirements.
  • Implement changes to Linux systems as required by the application and database teams.
  • Manage log rotation and file system usage.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Extensive experience with Linux systems administration.
  • Strong understanding of Linux fundamentals, including file systems, permissions, and processes.
  • Knowledge of LVM concepts, including FS creation, extension, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with multipath concepts, including validating multipath, adding LUNs, and enabling multipath.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
