Cyber Security Operations Manager

Role Summary:

The Cyber Security Operations Manager will lead the team responsible for detecting, analyzing, responding to, and mitigating cybersecurity incidents. This role requires a strong understanding of information security frameworks and regulations.

  • Strong knowledge of managing security policies and standards in Microsoft Azure, Active Directory, Office 365, and SharePoint platforms.
  • Comprehensive understanding of Information Security Frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST CSF, and Cyber Essentials) and Privacy regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain technology portfolio of enterprise information protection services.
  • Ensure regular maintenance and timely upgrades of security systems and services to prevent downtime and enhance performance.

Incident Detection and Response:

  • Accountable for Security Incident Management. Maintain and improve security incident response procedures and playbooks.
  • Oversee daily monitoring and review of security event activities and cyber threat landscape to ensure ongoing maturity of security controls.
  • Manage resolution of cybersecurity incidents and coordinate with engineering support for security systems.
  • Identify and diagnose potential threats, including root cause analysis and after-action reviews to ensure security controls defend against cyber threats.

Reporting and Documentation:

  • Develop and streamline processes and procedures for efficient security operations.
  • Provide regular reports and metrics on service operations.

Governance and Compliance:

  • Conduct periodic service review meetings with relevant stakeholders – both internal and external.
  • Ensure adherence to security controls and policies.
