VoIP Engineer Role

As a key player in our organization's communication infrastructure, you will be responsible for designing and deploying scalable VoIP systems to meet business needs.

You will monitor and troubleshoot VoIP network performance, call quality, and connectivity issues to ensure seamless communication services across the organization.

• Monitor and analyze VoIP network performance metrics, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions to maintain high-quality communication services.\
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations, processes, and procedures to ensure knowledge sharing and smooth handovers.\
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in VoIP domain to continuously improve our communication services.\
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deploy new features and enhancements to our VoIP systems.\
• Participate in on-call rotations to provide 24/7 support for critical issues and ensure minimal downtime.\
• Analyze and troubleshoot complex technical issues, including SIP, RTP, SDP, and other VoIP protocols, to resolve problems efficiently.\
• Develop and maintain automated testing frameworks to ensure our VoIP systems meet high standards of quality and reliability.\
• Implement security measures to protect our VoIP systems from vulnerabilities and ensure compliance with industry standards.\
• Contribute to the development of our technology roadmap, defining strategic goals and objectives for our VoIP systems.\
• Lead or participate in projects to modernize our VoIP infrastructure, leveraging cloud-based services, containers, or serverless architectures to improve scalability and agility.\
• Represent our organization at industry events, conferences, and webinars to stay informed about the latest developments in VoIP technology.\
• Mentor junior engineers to help them grow professionally and contribute to our team's success.\
• Stay current with relevant certifications, training programs, and continuous learning opportunities to enhance your skills and expertise.\

What We Are Looking For:

• A strong foundation in VoIP technology, including SIP, RTP, SDP, and other related protocols.\
• Proficiency in programming languages such as C, Golang, or Python, with experience in software development, testing, and deployment.\
• Familiarity with Linux/Unix operating systems, containerization (e.g., Docker), and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).\
• Experience with automation tools, such as Ansible, SaltStack, or Chef, to streamline deployment and management of VoIP systems.\
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.\
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with experience working in agile teams and contributing to open-source projects.\
• A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.\
• Relevant certifications, such as CCNA Voice, CCNP Voice, or CIPT, are highly desirable but not required.\
