Job Title: Content Subtitling Editor

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented professional to fill the role of Content Subtitling Editor. In this position, you will be responsible for quality-checking subtitles of movies and shows, writing engaging synopses, proofreading and creating metadata, and managing content within our content management system.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Writing/Proofreading: Quality-checking/proofreading subtitles and metadata of shows and movies. Ensure standard, consistency and accuracy of content.
  • Identifying Key Scenes: Identifying key/impactful/interesting scenes from shows/movies for content curation.
  • Managing CMS: Managing the content management system of the platform.

Requirements:

  • Subtitle Editing: Candidate should be proficient in creating/editing/proofing Closed Caption subtitles.
  • Experience: Minimum 1-2 years of experience working as a subtitle editor/proof reader. The candidate must know how to time, edit/proof, format and position subtitles.
  • Language Skills: Understanding of at least one South Indian language will be advantageous.
  • Personal Qualities: A self-starter and quick learner with a positive attitude, good interpersonal skills, ability to face and deal with challenges in a mature and professional manner, who works as a proactive team member within timelines and must be able to prioritize, multitask, and deliver within deadlines.

Additional Requirements:

  • High Analytical Skills: Highly analytical and able to get to the root cause of a problem. Able to creatively figure out a solution or propose changes to existing workflows as required.
