Analytics Team Lead

This is a leadership role for an experienced analytics professional to join our Data & Analytics team.

We are looking for a skilled individual to lead the end-to-end development of data visualizations, designing and developing interactive, user-friendly dashboards and reports, writing and optimizing SQL queries, and ensuring quality, accuracy, and consistency of analytics outputs.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the development of data visualizations, from requirement gathering to deployment and training.

  • Business Engagement & Coordination:
    • Act as the primary liaison between assigned business functions and the Data & Analytics team.
    • Understand business objectives and translate them into actionable data requirements.
    • Prioritize and manage incoming requests from business stakeholders, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
    • Facilitate communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders to ensure clear understanding of analytics deliverables.
  • Data Delivery & Technical Execution:
    • Lead the development of data visualizations, from requirement gathering to deployment and training.
    • Design and develop interactive, user-friendly dashboards and reports in Power BI.
    • Write and optimize SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and reporting.
    • Ensure quality, accuracy, and consistency of analytics outputs.
    • Drive continuous improvement in data visualization design, usability, and performance.
  • Team Leadership & Collaboration:
    • Supervise and mentor a team of data analysts; assign work, review outputs, and provide technical guidance.
    • Ensure timely delivery of reporting requirements by managing team workload and capacity.
    • Promote best practices in data visualization, storytelling, and data governance.
    • Collaborate with other analytics leads and the head of data & analytics for cross-functional initiatives.
Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, engineering, data analytics, business, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in data analysis, reporting, or business intelligence, with at least 2 years in a team or project lead capacity.
  • Strong hands-on experience in Power BI development (including DAX, data modeling, performance tuning).
  • Proficient in SQL for data extraction and transformation.
  • Solid understanding of data structures, ETL concepts, and business process mapping.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proven ability to lead and coach team members in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Strong understanding of data visualization concepts.

Nice to have qualifications include exposure to agile methodologies and project management tools, familiarity with data warehouse concepts, and knowledge of data governance, data quality, or data security practices.
