Job Title: Electrical Engineer for Renewable Energy Systems

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Electrical Engineer to oversee the installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of solar power systems at project sites.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and monitor all solar PV electrical works on-site, including panel installation, inverter setup, cable routing, and transformer management.
  • Review and interpret solar electrical drawings, string configurations, and layout plans to ensure seamless project delivery.
  • Oversee the installation of LV/MV systems, grounding/earthing systems, protection systems, and monitoring equipment to guarantee high-quality results.
  • Collaborate with civil, mechanical, and commissioning teams to ensure integrated project delivery and successful outcomes.
  • Conduct pre-commissioning and commissioning activities for solar systems, including insulation resistance tests, continuity checks, and inverter testing to verify system functionality.
  • Monitor subcontractor performance to ensure quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards, promoting a culture of excellence and compliance.
  • Ensure all electrical work complies with international standards and local regulations, maintaining the highest level of professionalism and expertise.
  • Maintain accurate daily site logs, quality reports, material inspections, and testing records to facilitate efficient decision-making and data-driven insights.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and propose practical on-site solutions to maintain progress and quality, leveraging creative problem-solving skills and effective communication.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering; Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in solar PV system installation and supervision, with a strong understanding of solar PV system components and electrical safety standards.
  • Familiarity with electrical safety standards and testing equipment, as well as excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical and construction drawings, with a focus on delivering high-quality results and meeting project deadlines.
  • Strong commitment to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) procedures during electrical installations and inspections, ensuring a safe working environment for all stakeholders.
