Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a testing framework to achieve maximum automation coverage.
  • Design, implement, document, and maintain automation frameworks using Java and Selenium for big data workflows such as ingestion, aggregation, ETL processing, and more.
  • Collaborate with the team to debug and troubleshoot issues within the big data ecosystem.
  • Set up and configure the Big Data platform and Hadoop ecosystem for testing purposes.
  • Develop test plans and strategies for data platform enhancements and new features/services built on it.
  • Establish operating procedures, service monitors, and alerts, working with the NOC team to get them implemented.
  • Conduct system and performance testing of the data platform and applications.
  • Solve complex engineering project problems, establish plans, and provide technical consultation in the design, development, and test effort.
  • Review product specifications and write test cases, develop test plans for assigned areas.
  • Identify issues and technical interdependencies, suggest possible solutions.
  • Test big data ingestion and aggregation flows using Spark Shell and related queries.
  • Perform end-to-end workflow automation using a framework.
  • Contribute to Test Automation Development/Enhancement.
  • Recreate complex customer and production reported issues to determine root cause and verify fixes.
  • Prioritize manual efforts and automate them where possible.
  • Lead a team of automation engineers to guide them and achieve end-to-end API, UI, and backend automation.
