Student Success Specialist Role Overview

About the Position

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Student Success Specialist to support our students throughout their academic journey.

The ideal candidate will ensure students have a smooth experience by managing administrative processes, providing timely assistance, and maintaining accurate student data.

This role is responsible for serving as the first point of contact for newly enrolled students, helping them navigate campus resources, policies, and academic expectations.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for newly enrolled students, assisting with queries and concerns regarding academic programs, policies, and procedures.
  • Maintain and update student records in the Student Information System (SIS), ensuring accuracy and completeness of student data.
  • Collect and process semester-wise student fees, adhering to institutional guidelines and regulations.
  • Communicate important information to students via email, phone, and chat, aligning with defined Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Educate students on financial aid options, scholarships, grants, and associated application processes and deadlines.
  • Assist students with non-technical issues during course registration and resolve enrolment-related errors.
  • Foster engagement and learning by sharing updates about alumni events, guest lectures, webinars, and networking opportunities.
  • Analyse data and generate customized reports for internal use or regulatory compliance.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you should possess:

  • A minimum 1–3 years of experience in student support, operations, or a customer-facing role.
  • Familiarity with online education platforms, CRM systems, data analytics tools, and helpdesk software.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on delivering excellent student experiences.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to work comfortably with data.
  • Collaborative mindset, with experience working effectively in cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities, with a proven track record of managing priorities and deadlines.
  • Analytical thinker, with a problem-solving attitude and data-driven decision-making approach.
  • Understanding of the student lifecycle and ability to support learners at each stage of their academic journey.
